Gardens of the Ancients is an Herb Emporium and Nursery located in northeast Austin, only 15 miles from downtown. We are just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Come and enjoy our working herb and vegetable gardens, large selection of dried herbs, live herb plants, fine handmade products, and most importantly, helpful service. Our prices are reasonable and we also provide wholesale pricing for other businesses.
We carry over 300 different bulk medicinal and culinary herbs, tinctures, a great selection of essential oils, specialty health products, and many other homemade herb products. We will provide insight on using herbs and supplements for preventing health problems as well as helping to treat them.
We grow and sell herbs, perennials, and vines adapted to the Central Texas climate. We carry a selection of herb and vegetable seeds including many of the varieties of plants that we sell. We have many types of culinary and medicinal herb potted plants. We also have a wonderful selection of ethnobotanical plants in our potted herb selection. These include several types of Amanita Muscaria, Daturas and Morning Glories, Sinicuiche, Wild Dagga, San Pedro Cactus, Baby Hawaiian Woodrose, Syrian Rue, Wormwood, Skullcap, Wild Lettuce, Wild Tobacco, Kratom and more! We have handmade soap and soap making supplies, face creams, infused herbal oils, and massage oils all made from natural base and essential oils. We have a wide selection of pure unadulterated essential oils at a very reasonable cost . We also feature many different base oil products like Vitamin E oil, grapefruit seed extract, evening primrose oil, castor oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, palm oil, and many others.
Besides herbal medicine products we also have books on a variety of topics including using and growing herbs, ethnobotanical plants, aromatherapy and alternative healing methods. We also feature a beautiful collection of crystals, clothing and unique jewelry. Gardens of the Ancients has two greenhouses and a large grounds with many unique herb plants, shrubs and fruit trees.
Gardens of the Ancients hosts educational seminars and workshops to increase the awareness for using medical herbs and organic growing methods. If you have a workshop or a class you want to bring to Gardens of the Ancients, give us a call. We have a lovely 800 square foot meeting room with a bathroom and an adjacent kitchen area. We also host parties and other events. We need at least a two week notice for most larger events.
